INNOWATTS is a leading provider of AMI-enabled predictive analytics and AI-based solutions for utilities, energy retailers and smart energy communities. To date, the Innowatts eUtility™ technology platform has enabled over 21 million + energy consumers and their energy providers with access to lower energy costs and a more reliable and personalized energy experience.

They are approaching the market differently than their competitors by only focusing on the analytics and data science based on the actual data from the 22MM meters they have under management internationally.

Innowatts secured their series A in 2017 by Shell Technology Ventures, Iberdrola and Energy and Environment Investment (Japan). They received their series B of $18MM in July of 2019 by the same group of investors and added Energy Impact Partners as the lead. After this round, the company hired Eric Danziger as their Chief Revenue Officer, with the mandate to grow revenue 3X in the next 12-18 months. Eric was able to hire 2 Regional Vice President’s of Sales for the Central and Eastern Region from his own network
but wasn’t able to fill the final VP position in the Western region, which was a much more competitive market. He hired Sudduth Search to fill the position.

Sudduth Search sourced over 100 candidates from 30+ target companies, being careful to not source from other companies within the PE portfolio companies. Innowatts interviewed 8 candidates, the search was completed in 72 days.

The candidate selected and ultimately hired was Sarah Norris, a Senior Director with Uplight (FKA Energy Savvy), who had exceeded her quota every year and was ready for her next challenge. She has extensive experience within early stage companies selling into the utilities industry. Her roles have been very consultative in nature, often introducing a new product or service to prospective clients.
