Jen Sudduth is the Founder and Managing Partner of Sudduth Search, a Houston-based retained executive search firm. She brings more than 20 years of executive search experience across the industrial, manufacturing, finance, technology, energy, and energy transition sectors.
Sudduth Search places leaders from senior management through the C-suite and boardroom for private and public companies. Jen’s practice centers on middle-market, investor-backed companies, typically $25 million to $1 billion in revenue, and the private equity partners behind them. She works most often with leadership teams going through major change: rapid organic growth, add-on acquisitions and integration, or preparing for an exit. In those situations, the right hire has to fit both the current business and the investment thesis, and Jen advises clients on both sides of that equation.
Through Sudduth Search’s membership in Agilium Worldwide, a global network of independent search firms, Jen extends the firm’s reach to national and international searches while keeping the hands-on, partner-led approach clients expect from a boutique firm.
Jen is deeply involved in the Houston deal community. She serves on the board of the Houston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG Houston), an M&A-focused organization, and is a past Chair. She is Co-Chair of the Texas ACG Capital Conference, an annual event that draws more than 1,500 dealmakers, investors, and advisors from across the country. She also serves on the advisory board for the Special Olympics East Region in Texas and is a past Chair. Jen was a 2022 Houston Business Journal “Women Who Mean Business” recipient. Among her investments, she is a member of Portfolia, which builds venture funds for women investors backing innovative companies.
Jen holds a BS in Psychology from Texas Christian University, a background she draws on every day in assessing leadership, motivation, and cultural fit.
She lives in the Heights with her husband and business partner, Britt Sudduth. They have two adult children and a family dog, Hershey, who has been recognized as the best dog in the world by Jen herself.
